Learning French was always a treat for me , yes i've been studying it since 4th elementary school but ever since i graduated from school my French skills gradually faded as i lacked practice , but i am now taking ( Francais 101 ) course hoping to regain what was lost , and who knows i may master it someday soon .

...Become Not only a student but also a teacher and make some friends in the way ...

and i was lucky enough to find ( http://www.livemocha.com/ ) while i was surfing the internt , it's site that will help you learn many languages including French of course and what really makes this site so special is that you can learn and make friends in the same time , as you'll be able to contact with native speakers who'll help you through the journey and become your teachers , you yourself can be a teacher too and help others to learn your language so everybody's actually a student and a teacher in the same time , it's a great idea and a great site , one that i will gladly recommend .

Scared NO more !

Monday, March 30, 2009 Autor: Jim 1 Response

Iam celebrating today my 1st horror movies- free year
I've so carefully avoided watching any horror / scary movies for as long as 365 days , can you believe it ! well actually i hated them for as long as i can remember .. never got to see the amusement of me being scared just for fun .

...Finally i am Free I say NO for horror movies i hate them...

and you gotta admit it .. these guys are getting awfully good , no more goof scares that comes when you're ready for . they catch you off guard all the time now , and it's no good for me .
but i watched tons of scary movies in the past , mainly because i am a sucker for movies , and because all my friends seem to love them .
and they've had it coming , one day i just told them that I've had enough , i just can't take no more scary movies .. which were in my eyes just an unnecessary self torturing time .
and the last horror film i watched was .. Texas chainsaw massacre ( the beginning ) i saw it on DVD .
well .. if you hate horror movies like i do , and if you have friends that like watching them and keep dragging you along to torture you .. well it's time to say NO ..
it's time to stop at the box office and tell them .. OK guys .. you go watch the scary movie and i will go watch another one .... thank God we have big malls where they have multiple screens

Resurrecting Egyptian Queen's Perfume

Thursday, March 26, 2009 Autor: Jim 4 Comentarios
The favorite perfume of powerful Egyptian "she king" Hatshepsut ( meaning, Foremost of Noble Ladies ) may be resurrected from residue found in a 3,500-year-old perfume bottle .
Hatshepsut is generally regarded by Egyptologists as one of the most successful pharaohs, reigning longer than any other woman of an indigenous Egyptian dynasty , now her queeny scent will last for ever .

The bottle, which was found in the queen's possessions after her death in 1457 B.C., is engraved with a hieroglyph of her name , The thin neck "allows a very economical dosing of the valuable content," according to Michael Höveler-Müller, curator of Bonn University's Egyptian Museum. A small clay stopper would have kept the oil from spilling.

identifying the substance will be completed , possibly within a year, re-creating the perfume is expected to be the next step , as many cosmetics companies are eager to capture the Queen's scent . and manufacture a product upon which they can place with great confidence the catchy phrase : ( Smell Like a Queen)

Tata Nano - world's cheapest car

Tuesday, March 24, 2009 Autor: Jim 2 Comentarios
Sounds like a dream come true for citizens from developing countries , the dream of driving their own car is now just a ( 2000 $ ) away ( 10,000 Egyptian pounds ) !
The Nano, from Tata, the Indian conglomerate bidding for Jaguar and Land Rover, was unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo.
The “People’s Car” comes so cheap by minimising components, particularly steel , and taking advantage of India’s low production cost

But questions about safety might pop-up in our minds , OK we know it's that cheap , but is it safe ?

Well .. Mr. Tata says it is :
“We shrunk it, made the engine smaller and used fewer materials but we haven’t taken any shortcuts in term of safety or emissions,”
In an effort to allay fears that something so cheap could not be safe , Mr Tata said that it had passed a full-frontal crash test in India and was designed to sustain further impact testing under European standards. ( Info from Times online )
The car will be sold first in India from the second half of this year ,and it is expected to be made available in Latin America, SouthEast Asia and Africa.

Questnet ( Q.I. ) the same old scam

Sunday, March 22, 2009 Autor: Jim 85 Comentarios

Wanna earn some money ?

wanna be a millionaire ... no problamous

join an internet marketing company called ( questnet ) now laying it hard in Egypt , maybe cause it's a third world country where most of us Egyptians know very little about Internet scams ..

so i met someone .. we sat in Starbucks and he talked about ( Questnet ) .. he said well you'll pay like 600 $ at least for useless goods like ( a necklace made of the cheapest brands of glass hanged by a rope ) which is guaranteed to inforce your inner powers .. and anothe ( glass plate ) that will detox the drinking water once you drop it on your cup ..

i said : " you're fucken ( excuse my language ) talking to a pharmacist here ... so either you start making some sense or i will just leave !! "

he then said " ok there are other stff you can buy ... some gold and jewellery or some swiss wrist watches "
frankly i got really angry then .. i said : " and you're expecting me to trust the company that sells a 50 cent - good for nothing - necklace for 600$ to the extent that i will buy Golden stuff from ??? "
he finally realised that was a dead end for him ... so he cut the bullshit and started talking at last
he said : " ok , never mind what you're buying , you're paying like 600$ just for the opportunity of doubling or even tripling that number in the future "
" you'll pay 600$ and buy ( whatever you 'll buy ) and at the same time you're becoming an ( I.R. ) of the company Questnet .. then you start getting peeps to join this company ( scam ) under your ( I.R. ) account .. and whenever you get 6 persons to join the company you'll get a 250 $ cheque ... and wheel goes round and round "

1- this is a pyramidal scheme Fraud ( clear as hell ) ..but What is a Pyramid Scheme/Multi-Level Marketing? .... well see what Jean Murray from ( home biz notes said about it )

According to the Securities and Exchange Commission, in a pyramid scheme individuals are encouraged to make money by selling others on the scheme. The person who recruited you gets money when you recruit others, and on up the line.

You get commissions based on what the people “downline” from you sell or who they recruit. In most cases, there is some kind of product, just to make the whole thing look legitimate. The problem is that the pyramid gets too big to sustain and collapses

Legit Business vs Scam?

What makes an “opportunity” a scam, instead of “legitimate”?

Here are some “red flags” to look for:

Investment Required.

You are required to put up an initial amount to “invest” in the business. In a legit business, the sales people don’t have to invest; they just have to sell.

Emphasis on Recruiting, not Products.

The emphasis is less on selling the products than on recruiting others to sell. In a pyramid scheme, you are told that your success depends on getting other people to sign on. You get a commission based on signing up other “downline” people. And the person “upline” from you got a commission from recruiting you.

Spending to Learn to Sell.

These companies love to have big sales meetings (that you pay to attend), where they hype you up and get you to buy lots of books and products to teach you how to sell. In a legitimate business, the company pays to train its sales people.

Market Saturation, value of product

Who actually needs this product? If you sold the product, how long would it take before you saturated the market? do you pay 600$ for a 50 cent necklace ?

Fool-Proof System.

There are NO GUARANTEES in life. Sorry. Anyone who tries to get you to sign up for a sales scheme and who says, “I guarantee you’ll make lots of money,” is lying. In most cases, they are more subtle about making promises, but you get a lot of hype and a lot of expectation.

Facts about Questnet :

1- the fact that the company is a 10 Years old one ( a fact they stress on so consistently ) is actually because it regularly changes it's name and goes from one country to another like grasshoppers , mainly third world countries where there're no laws to fight or detect this kind of scams and many poor peeps desperate to get rich
Pyramid schemes are based on simple mathematics: many losers pay a few winners. A nine-level pyramid, which is built when each participant gets six "friends" to join, would involve over ten million people!

2- the fact that questnet sells products doesn't mean that it's not a fraud ( which is another claim by the questnet guys )

why ?
because there are Product-based pyramid schemes where participating persons not only contribute money to a person identified at the top of the pyramid but also are encouraged to sell a product associated with the person at the top of the scheme. These product based pyramid schemes are often disguised as “business opportunities.” Product-based schemes are harder to detect.

The detection and evaluation of these schemes can be a complex process.

Persons wanting to learn more about product-based schemes are encouraged to access web site http://www.pyramidschemealert.org/.

this info. on top comes from New Mexico Attorney General website
------

some FACTS about pyramidal scheme companies ( like questnet ) :

1- It looks too good to be true! (Because it isn't true.)

2- How could it promise these huge incomes? (It only makes promises. It does not deliver on them.)

3-Where does the money come from? (From you and all the other new recruits , the newer ones pay the seniors !)

4- 99% of involved people end up losing all or some of their investments

5- these companies carry their death certificate within their own structure .. they're gonna die sooner or later . because they pay you from the money they collect from newer ones , so at a time when no more people joins the company it will simply die .. making 1% I.R.s very rich and making 99% robbed .

The Pink Panther & Taken ( quick review )

Thursday, March 19, 2009 Autor: Jim 3 Comentarios
The Pink Panther 2 (2009)

Starring the hilarious Steve Martin as Insp. Jacques Clouseau for the second time .
and a huge bunch of stars such as Jean Reno , Andy Garcia , , Emily Mortimer , Alfred Molina , John Cleese

The movie actually proves that you need much more than just an all stars cast to make a Movie

but John Cleese was very funny , though he had a really small role , as Chief Inspector Dreyfus who hates the guts of Jacques Clouseau ( Martin ) .
-----

Taken (2008/I)

No jacks in this box .... everybody knew that

the trailer of Taken said so ... the plot is quite simple
( A former spy relies on his old skills to save his estranged daughter )

for me , watching that movie included some risk .. i said to myself " ehh same O , same O "
and he'll get the girl at the end ... it's just a matter of how .
but Liam Neeson's acting made it bearable and made the long journey worthwhile
the guy can sell you almost everything ...
Maggie Grace who played ( Kim) the kidnapped daughter took it a bit ( just a bit ) too far
she played a role of an innocent around 17 years old girl
